NZ school­boys con­tinue great form

The New Zealand Sec­ondary Schools rugby team con­tin­ued their dom­i­nant form yes­ter­day with a 34-11 win over Aus­tralia Schools to fin­ish their cam­paign with three vic­to­ries. The for­wards laid the plat­form for New Zealand, with flanker Je­riah Mua and lock Tupou Vaa’i cross­ing for first-half tries to set up a nar­row 10-6 ad­van­tage at the break. Full­back Etene Nanai opened the sec­ond half scor­ing by pick­ing up a loose ball and show­ing his pace to race away to the try­line. Nanai’s try ex­tended the lead to 17-6, be­fore the New Zealand back­line un­leashed in the clos­ing 15 min­utes, cross­ing for three tries to get the win.
