Trying to improve your sleep quality? Try inhaling lavender
Studies show that the scent of lavender oil can alter brainwave function and produce a reduction in blood pressure, and an improvement in mood and relaxed mental state. That’s good news for insomnia sufferers. A 2010 study of women with insomnia showed that 20 minutes of lavender inhalation twice weekly for 12 weeks reduced heart rates and improved sleep quality. You can replicate these studies at home by using an electric diffuser to disperse lavender scent into the air for 20 minutes before you go to sleep.
