BOLD MOVES, SLEEK LINES

Davinia Sutton delivers a winning bathroom design with Corian.

HOME Magazine NZ - - Corian -

The brief from the client was clear – create a bathroom with a modern look that clearly links back to the contemporary architecture of the home. The main requirements were sharp clean lines, a play on bold form, and use of modern materials.

This design by Sutton reflects the boldness of the home’s contemporary architecture. The sharp crisp line of the custom-made vanity and plinth, formed from molded Corian, set off the back wall. This is highlighted further by the use of the textured, engineered veneer to juxtapose the boldness of modern forms created with Corian.

Not only is Corian super hygienic and durable (with a 10-year transferable installed warranty, for peace of mind), its seamlessness is critical in a design such as this.

Corian ‘Designer White’ – a black-white suited to a clean and striking design – is the hero in a strong palette, with the mix of finishes providing a sense of sharpness and personality.

It’s not just her clients who were impressed: the bathroom won Sutton the Top Bathroom accolade at the recent National Kitchen Bathroom Awards.
