THE DESIGN

A modern take on a traditional kitchen was in order for the renovation of this early 1900s home. The original brick wall and timber shelving were retained, and the old ceilings and beams painted white to lighten the mood. The existing copper rangehood was retrofitted with a Bosch powerpack.

Brass pull handles and knobs are a warm touch and match the mixer above the butler sink. Open shelving offers a tidy display area, and storage below keeps the bench uncluttered. The vintage pendant lighting overhead is another an authentic touch. •
