Country fair raises $15,200 for school
Manakau School’s annual country fair achieved the biggest turnover over last Saturday.
“We had the biggest crowd and raised $15,200 for the school,” said principal Deb Logan.
The children’s games alone brought in $1500. The obstacle was particularly popular.
Many adults had a go at the course, including principal Deb Logan who was number three on the leader board for quite some time.
The mystery envelopes were especially popular and the local business community had helped put these together, donated $5000 worth of good.
The fair was only open for three hours and drew a crowd not only from the Manakau community but also from much further afield.
