Orig­i­nally from Malaysia, owner Don Song is a chef who be­came a fish and chip shop pro­pri­etor and mote­lier, but hasn’t given up the flavour.

His menu in­cludes a mush­room burger to die for. Yes, mush­room. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.

The gi­ant burger has to be cooked us­ing a cus­tom- made spat­ula, fash­ioned from a mod­i­fied skil­let to flip the enor­mous pat­tie.

And it’s proved to be popular with tourists. Dur­ing Seafest week­end, Don’s sold nine of the gi­ant burg­ers.
