Originally from Malaysia, owner Don Song is a chef who became a fish and chip shop proprietor and motelier, but hasn’t given up the flavour.
His menu includes a mushroom burger to die for. Yes, mushroom. Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.
The giant burger has to be cooked using a custom- made spatula, fashioned from a modified skillet to flip the enormous pattie.
And it’s proved to be popular with tourists. During Seafest weekend, Don’s sold nine of the giant burgers.
