Station robbed at gunpoint
Porirua police are looking for a Maori or Pacific Island man in his late teens or early 20s who robbed the Shell Mungavin service station at gunpoint on Saturday morning.
The offender entered the service station about 7am on December 4 and pulled a pistol on a 22-year-old station attendant. He took about $200 in cash. The attendant was not harmed.
Police dogs were brought in but were unable to track the man, who fled down Mungavin Ave in a vehicle or by bicycle, Detective Sergeant Brent Clark said.
The robber wore light-coloured basketball shorts with red writing on the left leg, Nike basketball shoes, white sunglasses and a dark hoodie.
Anyone with information should contact Mr Clark on 238 1400.
