Bus stop bullies

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

Editor,

Last Tuesday (December 7), several people witnessed an appalling incident at the Countdown bus stop.

An elderly woman waiting for the bus was harassed by a group of six kids, Maori, aged from 10 to 14 years old.

She was subjected to verbal abuse, swearing, intimidation and aspersions on her mental state while surrounded by this group.

This continued to the point where this lady yelled back at the kids and, after having had enough of this behaviour, moved to the other end of the bus stop.

The group then followed her and continued to swear with one youth walking behind her and motioning to hit her.
