Kenpo karate kids
Porirua Kenpo Karate put in a strong showing at the recent national championships, particularly young siblings Braeden and Sarahn Windle.
Aged eight and seven respectively, Braeden and Sarahn won three golds and two silvers between them. The siblings competed in the forms selfdefence, synchronised forms and sparring divisions, against young fighters who came from as far away as Whangarei for the event.
Braeden and Sarahn faced off against each other for the 2010 Tiger title for five to eight year olds, with Sarahn taking out the trophy.
Proud parents and kenpo teachers Bronwyn and Karl were part of the officiating team on the day.
With more than 200 active students, The New Zealand Kenpo Karate Association is the largest school of its kind in the Wellington region.
