Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

Kapi-Mana News ran an article last week on the Department of Conservation’s approval of the cable-ski park proposed for Aotea Lagoon. Papakowhai resident Barbara Stephens is reported to have said submissions on the venture should be restricted to Porirua ratepayers. This was incorrect, Ms Stephens said submissions should be restricted to Porirua residents and ratepayers. The error is regretted.

We also wish to clarify that it was Paremata resident Patricia Harley who relished the chance to make another submission (during the resource consent process) – not Ms Stephens, who said she ‘‘does not fight battles where the outcome is already decided’’.
