Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

The Take Note Singers are gearing up for another year of harmony, and its director is encouraging more folks to join the fun.

‘‘ You don’t have to be an experienced singer to join us,’’ says director David Dell.

‘‘ While we have many members who’ve been singing most of their lives, the majority are interested amateurs.’’

In its eighth year, Take Note Singers is now 225 voices strong. They meet on a regular basis across four groups.

‘‘If you’re looking for a serious choir where you have to practice at home and always be on your best behaviour, then we’re not the group for you,’’ Mr Dell says.

The Porirua group, based in the Paremata School Hall, meets for eight weeks each term and averages 50 to 60 singers each week. People of all ages are welcome to come along and try.

The group starts again on February 15 from 7.30pm till 8.45pm. Call David Dell on 528 8595 or 0274 507 079.
