Two New Zealand titles are on the line this Saturday night at the Muay Thai Kickboxing fight night in Porirua.
Dubbed ‘‘Deadly Debut 9 – Damage Control’’, the event will see Rua ‘‘Damage’’ Druce (from MTI in Wellington) defend his NZ super-middleweight (76.1kg) title against Tim Fairweather (Harleys Kickboxing, Masterton) at Redden Fight Club.
Meanwhile, Jordan ‘‘Jolly’’ Wehrman (MTI) will contest the TBA light middleweight (69.9kg) title against Brendan Varty (Harleys). This title was recently vacated due to the death of Luke Millar.
Deadly Debut 9 will feature top fighters and upand-coming prospects from some of the best gyms in the lower North Island, such as MTI, Combat Room, Alpha, Kapiti Thaiboxing, Feilding Thaiboxing and Wanganui Warriors.
