Two New Zealand ti­tles are on the line this Satur­day night at the Muay Thai Kick­box­ing fight night in Porirua.

Dubbed ‘‘Deadly De­but 9 – Dam­age Con­trol’’, the event will see Rua ‘‘Dam­age’’ Druce (from MTI in Welling­ton) de­fend his NZ su­per-mid­dleweight (76.1kg) ti­tle against Tim Fair­weather (Har­leys Kick­box­ing, Master­ton) at Red­den Fight Club.

Mean­while, Jor­dan ‘‘Jolly’’ Wehrman (MTI) will con­test the TBA light mid­dleweight (69.9kg) ti­tle against Bren­dan Varty (Har­leys). This ti­tle was re­cently va­cated due to the death of Luke Mil­lar.

Deadly De­but 9 will fea­ture top fight­ers and upand-com­ing prospects from some of the best gyms in the lower North Is­land, such as MTI, Com­bat Room, Al­pha, Kapiti Thai­box­ing, Feild­ing Thai­box­ing and Wan­ganui War­riors.
