Trust says, apply if you want to make a big impact
The Hutt Mana Charitable Trust is looking for big ideas.
A new round of applications for the Trust’s community grants was announced last week by its chairman Ian Hutchings.
He said over the years there had been a steady increase in applications for grants, with a consequent trend to smaller grants being made.
This round, additional to the normal range of applications, the Trust would welcome applications to fund larger and more significant projects which offer substantial benefits across the community, Mr Hutchings said.
‘‘We see it as appropriate to look constantly for ways the Trust’s limited funding can best serve the community.’’ He said that, as in the past, there will continue to be a regional distribution of grant funds across the four geographic areas the Trust serves: Porirua, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt and a part of Wellington City. This is the 12th round of grants, two being held each year.
Grant applications close August 26. They should be sent to Trust’s secretary, Kendons Chartered Accountants, at Box 31250, Lower Hutt.
