Preg­nancy Help moves premises

De­mand for its ser­vice has led Preg­nancy Help Greater Welling­ton to move from its old lo­ca­tion in Can­nons Creek to big­ger premises in Tawa.

The com­mu­nity group, which has been op­er­at­ing for al­most five years, pro­vides as­sis­tance and sup­port to women who are or have re­cently been preg­nant, as well as new­born baby clothes, nap­pies and bassinets.

An in­creased client num­bers re­quired a big­ger space, says co-or­di­na­tor Si­tu­ila Marsters.

Af­ter 12 months of look­ing, a premises at 139b Main Road, Tawa, was se­cured.

It is now open each Tues­day and Wed­nes­day from 9.30am till noon. The new phone num­ber is 232 5740. Ms Marsters said they re­cently re­ceived a boost in the form of 20 bags of new baby clothes, do­nated by Sa­muel Marsden Col­le­giate School, who had held a mufti day to raise funds for the ser­vice.
