Porirua health and safety providers gathered under the canopies on Wednesday to assist city-goers’ wellbeing. The third annual Service Provider and Agency Expo was meant to be held during New Zealand Safety Week but was postponed due to the snow and cold weather.

Coastguard Mana, Red Cross, Pregnancy Help Inc, Neighbourhood Support Porirua, Police, Porirua City Council and the Cannons Creek Fanau Centre were among those who joined organisers ACC in promoting the theme, ‘‘Safety and wellbeing of all people in Porirua’’, with information stalls and dance classes.

‘‘It’s really about how people can come and access these services. It’s supporting the community and raising awareness among our community, so they can support themselves,’’ said ACC community injury prevention consultant Petelo Alosio.
