Cadets, RSA team up for rides
The Porirua City Cadet Units’ long-standing relationship with Porirua RSA has gone mobile. The Porirua RSA Association is represented on all three committees – TS Taupo, 41 Squadron, and the Army cadets – by going to their monthly meetings. At a recent meeting of the 41 Squadron, Plimmerton Volunteer Fire Brigade offered the unit use of a van, for which the RSA will take responsibility and pay running costs. The cadets will have full use of it when required. It will also be used for welfare purposes, such as taking people to hospital, doctors’ appointments, and social occasions. Any young people aged 13 to 16 are welcome to attend cadet training nights. Contact 233 8246 for more information or visit cadetforces.mil.nz.
