Dogs on the beach

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

After a largely wet and galeforce November, perhaps the Porirua City Council might understand the absurdity of its bylaws regarding dogs on Titahi Bay beach.

The only strict bylaw to do with the beach is about dogs. They are not allowed on the beach after 10am and before 7pm in what the council deems to be summer.

Meanwhile, bylaws to do with throwing rubbish, breaking glass, driving cars along the beach, etc, are ignored. Does someone on the council not like dogs or what? It would be interesting to hear the views of the dog rangers.

R VINCENT, Titahi Bay.
