Graeme Hansen of Tawa [KMN, Fe­bru­ary 28] writes that train horns are needed at cross­ings be­cause some peo­ple are obliv­i­ous to trains be­cause they are lis­ten­ing to mu­sic! Huh? There’s no logic in that. The phys­i­cal bar­rier of a boom and vis­ual clue of lights fixes that prob­lem – or do they drive or walk
