Dine on the RMS Ti­tanic

Come dine as a first class pas­sen­ger to mark a cen­tury since the sink­ing of RMS Ti­tanic.

The Ti­tanic Com­mem­o­ra­tive Din­ner, hosted by Coast­guard Welling­ton, is on Satur­day, April 14, at the James Cook Ho­tel.

Ho­tel ex­ec­u­tive chef Charles de Vil­liers will repli­cate the menu that was pre­sented to the first class pas­sen­gers the night be­fore the ship hit an ice­berg early on April 15, 1912.

Key­note guest speaker Trevor Mont­gomery is a veteran deep ocean ex­plorer, hav­ing dived 3.81 kilo­me­tres to the Ti­tanic. He has come over from Australia es­pe­cially to share his ex­pe­ri­ences at this com­mem­o­ra­tion.

Mr Mont­gomery has also gifted items to Coast­guard Welling­ton from his dive to the Ti­tanic. These will be auc­tioned off dur­ing the evening and all pro­ceeds from the night go to­wards the fund­ing for a new spe­cial ser­vice craft for Coast­guard Welling­ton.
