Ro­tary backs Out­ward Bound

Tawa Ro­tary is of­fer­ing a full schol­ar­ship val­ued at $3700 to a young adult from the sub­urb to at­tend Out­ward Bound.

Ro­tary clubs through­out the coun­try de­cided that to cel­e­brate the con­fi­dence build­ing course’s 50th an­niver­sary, they would try to fill a class with Ro­tary- spon­sored stu­dents – 126 in to­tal.

The Ro­tary Club of Tawa is seek­ing nom­i­na­tions from el­i­gi­ble young men and women to ap­ply for this schol­ar­ship. Ap­pli­cants must be 18 to 26 years of age, fit and be able to at­tend the three-week course at the Out­ward Bound cam­pus in Anakiwa, Marl­bor­ough Sounds, run­ning from Au­gust 26 to Septem­ber 15.
