Porirua Police have released CCTV images of a male sought in connection to the aggravated robbery of the Daji Foodmarket Dairy in Titahi Bay earlier this month.

About 4.30pm on March 11 a male entered the dairy in Te Puke St with an axe and demanded cigarettes and cash. The offender is described as Maori or Polynesian, around 17 to 18 years of age, about 1.78 metres (5ft 10in) tall, of athletic build. He was wearing a shortsleeved white and red checked shirt over a red sweatshirt. He had a white T-shirt covering his hair and a red T-shirt around his mouth and nose. He was brandishing a tomahawk type axe about 30 centimetres long.

The female dairy owner was shaken but unharmed as a result of the aggravated robbery.

Anyone with any information should phone Porirua police on 238 1400 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
