Two Tawa College students will feature in the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir when it performs at Sacred Heart Cathedral this Saturday.

Fuatino Malo-siolo and Nicholas Catto will be among the 60 voices. Malo-siolo says he feels privileged to be premiering Nemesi, a piece written by one of New Zealand’s most established composers – John Psathas.

‘‘The unique rhythm and harmony in this piece of music is absolutely astonishing. I cannot wait to perform this work, it’s very exciting.’’

NZSSC is directed by Andrew Withington and their repertoire includes a wide range of choral styles. Tickets for the concert at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 7.30pm, April 14, can be bought at the door, or for reservations email or phone 04 976 8557.

Tickets are $25 adults, $15 seniors and $10 students.
