There will be plenty of op­por­tu­ni­ties for Porirua and Tawa res­i­dents to ob­serve An­zac Day to­mor­row. Porirua RSA: A dawn ser­vice at their premises in Mckil­lop St from 6am, with a break­fast at 7am. Porirua City civic ser­vice: Held at the peace me­mo­rial in Te Rau­paraha Park at 9am – if the weather is bad the ser­vice will shift in­doors to Te Rau­paraha Arena. Pukerua Bay: A ser­vice will be held in the school hall at 11am, be­fore the lay­ing of wreaths by Welling­ton RSAS and civil dig­ni­taries at Whenua Tapu at noon. The Last Post and Reveille will be played. Ti­tahi Bay: A dawn ser­vice, with those wish­ing to at­tend asked to as­sem­ble at the Ti­tahi Bay Store on the corner of Main Rd and Dimock St at 6.20am. A civic ser­vice will be­gin with a march from the RSA at 10.15am, be­fore a wreath is laid at the ceno­taph in White­house Rd at 10.30am.

Pau­ata­hanui: me­mo­rial ser­vice in St Al­ban’s Church from 10am, with a wreath laid at the me­mo­rial next to the main road fol­low­ing this. Taka­puwahia: A ser­vice will com­mence at the marae at 10.30am. Whitby: St Mary’s Church will host a com­mem­o­ra­tion from 10.30am. Tawa: A pa­rade, which will as­sem­ble in the for­mer Wool­worths’ car park at 9.30am, will march to the Tawa RSA at 9.45am.
