Views on council sought
Porirua City Council is again seeking feedback from residents about whether they are happy with its services, facilities and performance.
‘‘We have a responsibility to track how well our efforts are carrying through to our residents,’’ said chief executive Gary Simpson.
‘‘The best way to do this is to interview a representative cross-section of people and to have this done by an independent group to ensure impartiality.’’
Interviewing for the survey commenced last Friday and is expected to be completed by the middle of June.
National Research Bureau (NRB), an independent research company offering specialised services to local authorities throughout New Zealand, has been commissioned to undertake the survey and report to the council.
Using a randomised selection method, residents from throughout the city are being contacted by a door- to- door interviewer and asked their opinions on services the council delivers to residents. The survey is totally confidential.
