What rot

Editor,

In the article, ‘Flood calls for repair’, May 22, PCC manager of waste and water services John Gibbs trots out the unsubstantiated PC bogeyman mantra which seems obligatory in such articles these days. ‘‘and climate change is increasing the frequency of heavy rain storms’’. What rot.

‘‘Climate change’’ has become the meaningless catch-all cliche ever since ‘‘global warming’’ was shown to be a con. Heavy rain storms and floods are nothing new, and the current fad re ‘‘climate change’’ has nothing to do with the climate or the natural environment and everything to do with politics of the socialist sort.
