Porirua City Council’s general manager of asset management and operations Peter Bailey told the council’s committee meeting that New Zealand Transport Agency has nearly completed the work.
Mr Bailey was responding to a question from Councillor Liz Kelly, who said holdups next to the Mobil station during rush hour were ‘‘chaotic’’. School children using the pedestrian crossing and the busy roundabout off Mungavin bridge made the area a chokepoint, Ms Kelly said.
