Typo trips up raffle seller

Kapi-Mana News - - NEWS -

A Porirua mum selling raffle tickets to local businesses did not have insidious intentions – she had just made a typo.

Kapi- Mana News last week reported a news brief about a woman selling raffle tickets in what appeared to be a scam.

Elsdon business lunch bar owner Philip Leung won from one of her tickets but when he phoned the contact number to claim his prize it turned out to be fake.

But Mr Leung says the woman apologised for the misunderstanding, claiming a digit from the contact number was accidently omitted.

Mr Leung has received his prize.
