Lead by example

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

A customer is ‘‘someone who purchases goods and/or services from a supplier’’. This appears to be a concept foreign to Porirua City councillors as displayed by their treatment of Housing New Zealand (KMN, June 26), who would have to be their single biggest customer.

To demand that your biggest customer attend a public meeting to be berated by councillors was a shameful exhibition of discourtesy, political posturing and power play. All of the matters raised should have been discussed on a private basis rather than at a public meeting.

What an appalling example to council staff.
