Buggy walk around Government House
Sport Wellington is hosting a buggy walk through the grounds of Government House this Thursday.
The grounds have been endorsed as a Garden of National Significance and feature 12 hectares of flat lawn, garden, and steep hillside.
There are many heritage features and several plaques mark trees planted by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the late Maori Queen Te Arikinui Dame Te Atairangikaahu, and former governors-general and their spouses.
Meet on the entrance lawn inside the gates, at the top of Government House (Hospital Road entrance) from 10am for a 10.30am start.
See buggywalk.co.nz for more details.
