Buggy walk around Gov­ern­ment House

Sport Welling­ton is host­ing a buggy walk through the grounds of Gov­ern­ment House this Thurs­day.

The grounds have been en­dorsed as a Gar­den of Na­tional Sig­nif­i­cance and fea­ture 12 hectares of flat lawn, gar­den, and steep hill­side.

There are many her­itage fea­tures and sev­eral plaques mark trees planted by the Queen and the Duke of Ed­in­burgh, the Prince of Wales, the late Maori Queen Te Arik­inui Dame Te Atairangikaahu, and for­mer gov­er­nors-gen­eral and their spouses.

Meet on the en­trance lawn inside the gates, at the top of Gov­ern­ment House (Hos­pi­tal Road en­trance) from 10am for a 10.30am start.
