Health care boost

Cap­i­tal & Coast District Health Board has made visits to the doc­tor or nurse free dur­ing busi­ness hours for all un­der-6s at gen­eral prac­tices and three af­ter­hours clin­ics in the re­gion. The DHB has worked with Com­pass Pri­mary Health­care Net­work, Co­sine PHO, Ora Toa PHO and Well Health PHO to en­sure that whether it’s dur­ing work­ing hours or not, chil­dren un­der 6 will get the health care they need without ad­di­tional costs for their par­ents. Free ur­gent care af­ter hours for chil­dren un­der 6 is avail­able from Kenepuru Ac­ci­dent and Med­i­cal, Welling­ton Ac­ci­dent and Ur­gent Med­i­cal Cen­tre, and Team Med­i­cal, Kapiti.
