Analysis welcome

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION / NEWS -

Editor,

John Burke’s acknowledgment of Brian Collins’ accounting expertise and financial analysis is most constructive [ KMN Letters, July 31]. Fortunately, Mr Collins’ analysis has identified a number of shortcomings for a group of public officials and elected personnel who purport to have these skills. I suppose all that was left to you, John, was to construct a personal attack.

In providing his analysis, Mr Collins is relaying the true financial impediments placed on ratepayers by those who appear reluctant to provide this data. I would hasten to say that Mr Collins is putting the ‘‘public financial mana’’ back in KapiMana – to this I commend his unpaid commitment to this community.
