Plun­ket build­ing work un­der way

The first sod was turned on the new Plun­ket cen­tre in Can­nons Creek last Tues­day.

De­spite per­sis­tent rain, Haidee Hem­s­ley, chair­per­son of the $800,000 project’s steer­ing com­mit­tee, did the hon­ours.

The 300sqm fa­cil­ity, due to be opened by Novem­ber, will bring to­gether Plun­ket nurses with car seat hire and B4 School checks, as well as pro­vid­ing a build­ing for par­ent cour­ses and community meet­ings.
