Disability car parks

Kapi-Mana News - - OPINION -

I wish to draw to everyone’s attention the plight of persons legally permitted to park in spaces designated for the disabled.

This last weekend [October 27-28] I had occasion to attempt to park in two such parks. One in the street outside council offices, the other in Pak ’n Save car park.

With the first occasion, I had to go to the police to tell the person responsible for the ‘‘illegally’’ parked vehicle to move it as they were taking up the car park of a disabled person.

No ticket was issued as I was informed by police the responsibility to police such parks is that of council.
