Cloth nappies a money-saver

Kapi-Mana News - - NEWS -

Parents can save about $4000 each baby if they use cloth nappies, while also helping the environment, says ‘‘ Nappy Lady’’ Kate Meads, who is holding a workshop in Porirua on Thursday.

Ms Meads will be in town to share her expertise on cloth nappies and encourage parents to minimise waste at home, and save money on their weekly nappy spend.

At The Nappy Lady workshops, parents and parents-to-be learn about the different styles of cloth nappies and receive tips and information on what they can do at home to reduce their waste output.

Parents who attend the workshop at Pataka will receive a free cloth nappy trial pack that has been funded by Porirua City Council.

Spaces are limited and bookings are essential. The workshop begins at 2pm. It is free to attend and parents are welcome to bring along their babies.
