Long-awaited visit by US evan­ge­list next week

It has taken a lo­cal Bi­ble col­lege four years to bring evan­ge­list Sam Sweg to New Zealand.

Sweg, from Mon­tana, USA, will preach, heal and re­veal in Porirua for a week start­ing on Novem­ber 27.

Ia Mala­malama Agape Bi­ble Col­lege (IMABC) min­istry project con­sul­tant Pa­palii Taleni Tanielu says lit­tle is known of Sweg down un­der, but the preacher has trav­elled the world heal­ing the sick, proph­esy­ing and spread­ing God’s word.

‘‘Sam Sweg’s visit con­trib­utes to the glo­ri­fi­ca­tion of God and en­cour­ages the prayer move­ment in the Pa­cific.’’

Mem­bers of the pub­lic are wel­come to reg­is­ter for the ses­sions at 4pm, Novem­ber 27, at the Porirua Assem­bly of God (AOG) Church, cor­ner of War­spite Av­enue and Fan­tame Street. This is fol­lowed by the open­ing of the re­vival sem­i­nar at 6pm.

There are morn­ing and evening ses­sions and all ses­sions are dif­fer­ent, says Mr Tanielu.
