Milk purchase wins $10,000
Hampton Hill School has won a $10,000 prize in a Meadow Fresh promotion after Tawa resident Tracey Barclay’s name was drawn from thousands of entries in the nationwide competition.
Ms Barclay had nominated Hampton Hill School in her entry after buying Meadow Fresh milk. She also won herself $500.
The Cool Stuff for Kids promotion encouraged shoppers to send in receipts after purchasing marked Meadow Fresh products.
Ms Barclay chose Hampton Hill School because her nephew is a student there.
The promotion has involved more than $500,000 worth of equipment, including netballs and rugby balls, paints, felt tips, giant skipping ropes, glitter and craft paper, distributed to schools throughout the country.
It had proved so successful, Meadow Fresh decided to reward those participating with the two extra cash giveaways.
Hampton Hill School plans to put the $10,000 towards a new playground.
