Tawa Hockey Club’s Premier 1 girls’ team has claimed back-to-back titles.

The side defeated Indians Club 1-0 in the final, adding to its 2011 trophy.

Tawa P1 girls’ coach Jenni Cronin puts their success down to a commitment to develop and nurture young players.

This resulted in nine girls from the 14-player squad rep- resenting Wellington.

Annaleisha Wood, Lauren Walker, Saasha Masters, Paris Tait, and Brooke Elliston and Isabella CroninStone played for the Wellington under-13 side that finished runner-up at the National Collier Tournament – the region’s best ever result at the tournament.

The club remains committed to its development culture.
