North City were undone by the spin of Luke Woodcock as they crumbled to defeat against Johnsonville on Saturday.
Johnsonville only posted 200 all out in 49.4 overs, batting first at Linden Park, with Ben Turner (3-18 from 6.4 overs) and Russell Kyne (3-41 from 10) helping keep it to a reachable target.
But Woodcock’s 5-29 tore through the North City lineup, as they were rolled for 102 in just under 35 overs. Russell Pepperell (17) and skipper Michael Pollard (41) got them to 67 for the first wicket, but no-one else registered double figures. The middle and lower order batsmen recorded five ducks.
