Tap­ping into tal­ent

The Tracey Odell School of Mod­ern Dance held its end of year break-up at Bishop Viard Col­lege last month, in which stu­dents show­cased dance styles in­clud­ing tap, jazz, bal­let, con­tem­po­rary and hip-hop.

A high­light was the quirky jazz ren­di­tion of Alice in Won­der­land.

The 2012 prize win­ners from the dance school were:

Tap: Pre Tap – Emma Parkin­son, Natalie Jensen, Tap 1 – Har­ri­son Wong, Tap 3 – Su­vin Park, Tap 4 – El­iz­a­bethe Werner, Tap 5 – Sarah Tut­ton, Tap 6 – Caitlin Wong, Tap 8 – Adri­enne Tucker, Most Promis­ing – Lau­ryn See­beck, Most Im­proved – Melody Fi­field and Ai­den Hol­land.

Jazz: Pre grade jazz – Jes­sica Hughes, Jazz 1 – Hay­ley Mar­riott, Jazz 2 – Yolanda Latu, Jazz 3 – Michelle Lee, Jazz 4 – Claire Mur­ray, pre ele­men­tary jazz – Caitlin El­lis and Olivia Har­ris; In­ter­me­di­ate Jazz – Laura Kelly, Ad­vanced 1 Jazz – Hay­ley Hart, Ad­vanced 2 Jazz – Natasha El­lis, Most Promis­ing – Emma Ben­nett, Most Im­proved – Emma Cross.
