Tro­phies and con­fetti for Plim­mer­ton club

Plim­mer­ton Cro­quet Club’s year is off to a fly­ing start with tro­phy wins coming in al­ready.

In the North Is­land As­so­ci­a­tion Cro­quet Cham­pi­onship, Plim­mer­ton’s Wayne Gair fin­ished first and Graeme Fisher was sec­ond.

In the Welling­ton Chal­lenge Se­ries, Gair and Fisher beat Pe­tone 26-0, and then Welling­ton 26-1.

Peter Hill and Arthur von Sturmer took the McKen­zie cup off Welling­ton in a nail-bit­ing 12-11 vic­tory.

The next open­ing evening for twi­light golf cro­quet will be 5.30pm till 8pm on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 9. Call Tom Ber­ry­man on 236 8877 to book.
