Conservation Volunteers Nuturing Nature in Porirua

Kapi-Mana News - - NEWS -

Conservation Volunteers has been contracted to provide volunteer engagement opportunities in our parks and reserves in Porirua. They will work in partnership with Porirua City Council and Keep New Zealand Beautiful to enhance the environment of our beautiful city. With growing recognition of the need for professional volunteer supervision in our parks and reserves, Conservation Volunteer’s innovative management of enthusiastic volunteers, and supported community initiatives has proven to be successful in other parts of New Zealand and Australia. They bring with them opportunities for the public to participate in volunteer training days, corporate engagement days and community clean up days. A good example of this is the development of Bothamley Park where Conservation Volunteers will work closely with Council and the community to reinvigorate the Park. Conservation Volunteers are very keen to hear from individuals who wish to be a part of their work in the local community. Registrations are required and a well-organised, stimulating and rewarding experience is just a fraction of what you might expect back.
