Norths Rugby

Kapi-Mana News - - SPORT, FITNESS & RECREATION -

This year is a season of change for junior rugby at Norths. A new junior convener, a growing junior committee, increased opportunities for girls in rugby, and a change to this year’s Under 13 grade, will ensure that the 2013 season will be an organised one where the children of Porirua can develop their rugby in an exciting and enjoyable environment. Junior rugby at Norths is being run with a new mission statement ‘To promote the great game of rugby’ and although Norths already have one of the biggest and most successful junior rugby clubs in Wellington, the committee will be doing its best to grow those numbers and get as many kids and their families involved in the club and the sport as possible. One big and exciting part of that is a new initiative for this season involving the creation of two girl’s only grades for all primary school age girls. This season also sees the Under 13 grade become a completely open weight grade which will hopefully see the premier junior grade become the pinnacle of junior rugby that it was always intended to be. If you would like to join or help the Norths Juniors contact Junior Convener Nate Lambert at juniorrugby@northsrugby.co.nz or on 02102334881, or Club Captain Kane Mokomoko at kane.mokomoko@sealedair.com or on 0274130086
