MESSAGE FROM ROBYN BROUGHTON - COACH HAIER PULSE 2013
2013 Haier Pulse netball team is looking forward to another exciting challenge this season. We’ve retained the bulk of our 2012 squad and have added two experienced international players to our lineup. The highly-professional, hard-nosed approach to winning that Donna Wilkins and Liana Leota will add to our playing group will be welcomed as the Haier Pulse strives to improve its 2012 placing and cement a spot in the top four. Combining these new faces current Silver Ferns Katrina Grant and Camilla Lees, and Ferns squad members Te Huinga Reo Selby Rickit and Joline Henry, plus Australian squad player Caitlin Thwaites, should ensure that expectations to perform will be the catalyst for a team that has players committed to fulfilling their potential. I know they will all want to meet the challenges of the ANZ Championship head-on. The fresh thinking and new approach has already been evident in our pre-season training. Squad members Victoria Smith, Amber Bellringer, Daya Wiffen and Claire Kersten featured in the Glasgow World Super Club Championships in December and all proved they are very capable of playing their part within the Pulse game plan. Ex-Silver Fern Paula Griffin has also returned to the Haier Pulse and her experience will complement the shooters. The ability to apply an intense focus on their opponents throughout a game will be a team priority for the season, as will the commitment needed to embrace the challenge that a winning and successful culture presents. We look forward to the continuing support from our many loyal supporters during the 2013 ANZ Championship and hope that we can achieve our goals and be the best we can this season.
Robyn Broughton (Coach Haier Pulse 2013)
