Of 432 Porirua res­i­dents sur­veyed:

92 per cent say they have some­one to turn to for help when faced with se­ri­ous ill­ness.

57 per cent say their city is a bet­ter place to live as a re­sult of other cul­tures.

20 per cent have been un­able to see a GP for a health con­cern in past 12 months.

72 per cent agree Porirua has a cul­tur­ally rich and di­verse arts scene (av­er­age is 47 per cent). 83 per cent say it is easy to get to and use pub­lic trans­port. 57 per cent are em­ployed full time. 28 per cent are reg­u­lar users of pub­lic trans­port.
