Shine offers education tips

Practical solutions to improving education in Porirua were likely to emerge from the Shine conference in June, Porirua City councillors were told last week.

Councillor Denys Latham said that more than 200 educators during the conference looked at ‘‘what needs to happen to turn our children adults’’.

After a presentation from Corinna School to councillors about why children enjoy the Waitangirua Community Park, Mr Latham said there would be some ‘‘ exciting stuff’’ to come from educators in the city.
