Two Porirua City councillors have been so diligent they have apparently achieved the impossible – they have attended more than 100 per cent of their assigned meetings in the past year.
During the 2012-13 financial year, Anita Baker attended 70 full council, committee, subcommittee meetings and workshops, even though she was assigned only 69.
’Ana Coffey attended 73, even though she was only scheduled to go to 68.
Other councillors whose attendance topped more than 90 per cent in the past 12 months were Bronwyn Kropp (92 per cent), Denys Latham (94 per cent) and Rob Rangi (95 per cent).
The lowest attendance records went to Wayne Poutoa (62 per cent), Litea Ah Hoi (66 per cent) and Liz Kelly (73 per cent).
Overall in this council term until June 30, the best attendance record belongs to Ms Baker.
She was present at 99 per cent of her assigned meetings.
Behind her are Ms Coffey (97 per cent), Denys Latham (95 per cent) and Bronwyn Kropp (89 per cent).
