Su­per-dili­gent coun­cil­lors

Two Porirua City coun­cil­lors have been so dili­gent they have ap­par­ently achieved the im­pos­si­ble – they have at­tended more than 100 per cent of their as­signed meet­ings in the past year.

Dur­ing the 2012-13 fi­nan­cial year, Anita Baker at­tended 70 full coun­cil, com­mit­tee, sub­com­mit­tee meet­ings and work­shops, even though she was as­signed only 69.

’Ana Cof­fey at­tended 73, even though she was only sched­uled to go to 68.

Other coun­cil­lors whose at­ten­dance topped more than 90 per cent in the past 12 months were Bron­wyn Kropp (92 per cent), Denys Latham (94 per cent) and Rob Rangi (95 per cent).

The low­est at­ten­dance records went to Wayne Poutoa (62 per cent), Litea Ah Hoi (66 per cent) and Liz Kelly (73 per cent).

Over­all in this coun­cil term un­til June 30, the best at­ten­dance record be­longs to Ms Baker.

She was present at 99 per cent of her as­signed meet­ings.

Be­hind her are Ms Cof­fey (97 per cent), Denys Latham (95 per cent) and Bron­wyn Kropp (89 per cent).
