Spring on show

Ti­tahi Bay Hor­ti­cul­tural So­ci­ety is pray­ing for good weather dur­ing this week­end’s spring flower show.

The an­nual event show­cases the work of so­ci­ety mem­bers, in­clud­ing plants and pro­duce.

Raf­fles and re­fresh­ments will also be avail­able.

Ti­tahi Bay Hor­ti­cul­tural So­ci­ety pres­i­dent Martin McK­endrick said about 400 en­tries would be on dis­play this week­end, de­pend­ing on the weather.

Tro­phies and prizes will be awarded to the best ex­hibit in each sec­tion.

A flo­ral art demon­stra­tion will be held by Julie Burgess of the Whitby Flo­ral Art Club on Satur­day at 2pm.
