Station to get attention
Kapi-Mana residents have been invited to paint Paremata train station’s walkway on Wednesday as part of New Zealand’s first Graffiti Free Week.
During Graffiti Free Week, individuals, businesses, schools and groups are invited to help to remove graffiti. The cleaning of Paremata train station walkway will take place on November 6 at 6pm.
Porirua Rotary Club’s Jenny Cardno said the club was keen to be involved in Graffiti Free Week.
‘‘Rotarians come together with other community groups, doing good things in our local community to make a difference to people’s lives,’’ she said.
Keep Porirua Beautiful Trust, Rotary, Resene and Conservation Volunteers New Zealand are collaborating in the first nationwide Graffiti Free Week, which runs until November 11.
