Those with a sweet tooth will be in paradise at the Tawa School Fair next weekend.

Cake stalls, sweets, liquorice and Tawa-made Zelati Gelato are some of the treats on offer.

Other stalls would tempt visitors with hot food, toys, books, plants and Christmas crafts, said Home and School Committee chairwoman Karen Taylor.

‘‘Golding’s will also be letting kids try out Candy Writers, a type of cake icing in a tube, on biscuits for free,’’ she said.

Entertainment would include a dog obedience demonstration and performances by Zone Academy Dance, Surf Daddies and the school’s kapa haka group, she said.

Guests can ride in style at the fair with pony, Harley-Davidson and MG car rides. Activities include driving remote-control model trains, horizontal bungy, plate smashing and a spooky house.

A treasure dig, jelly eating competition and raffle for a signed Wellington Lions rugby jersey will also be held.

Money raised will go towards repairing the matting on the school’s senior playground.
