Kapiti band Hobnail will hold a fundraising concert at Pukerua Bay School on Saturday. The band will combine elements of bluegrass, Celtic folk, pop and rock’n’roll.

Musician Rob Joass said Hobnail had performed in many New Zealand music festivals over the past 19 years, including Porirua’s Festival of the Elements.

The band had also travelled to the United States, Canada, Ireland, Europe and appeared on TV One’s Good Morning show, he said.

Saturday’s concert will be a fundraiser for the Kapiti College choir. Wine and beer will be offered at the ‘‘ koha bar’’, and guests can bring their own snacks. Money will go towards the choir’s trip to the International Choral Festival in Canada.
